Exigo Recycling offers a unique
Green Underwriting Service to fulfill a
producer’s e-waste collection obligations under
the EPR guidelines in E-waste Management &
Handling rules, 2016.
It is an established fact that up to 95% of india’s
massive e-waste generation ends up in the informal
sector. Therefore, there is a huge potential in
tapping the informal e-waste sector to channelize
the e-waste to formal recycling operations.
At Exigo, we look at India’s vast informal e-waste sector as a solution profitable. Currently, informal to formal transfer of e-waste in unprofitable in India.
Exigo is working to continuously add more informal sector partners to collect & channelize e-waste to its recycling operations as part of fulfilling e-waste material obligations of producers. Our informal sector collection partners undergo a training and awareness programme at our facility and are regulated by linking through Aadhar card.
Alongside, we plan to expand our footprint by
covering RWA’s & Educational Institutions across
the country for awareness and
collection of e-waste as an added source of feedstock.
Rather than a problem, we aim to utilize the mandatory budget allocation by producers under the EPR guidelines 2016 as a subsidy tool to make the informal to formal transfer of e-waste.
We at Exigo, understanding this potential are offering Green Underwriting Services under which we would provide the following services:
• Underwrite your e waste obligations
• Providing basic EPR consultancy
• End to end support in scaling EPR Authorisation
• Filling Returns
• Maintaining inventories
•Creating Awareness initiatives Pan India level
• Devising Take back mechanism
Along with the above Exigo will use it’s own collection centres as well as it’s partners in the informal sector to introduce more ewaste into the Recycling channel. This can be an effective tool to fulfil the EPR material obligations on behalf of Producers.
